From its start in May 2007 VIC has worked tirelessly in dual roles with the local VA’s HOMELESS PROGRAMS 24/7, 365 days a year as an immediate emergency facility for veterans in need before entry and after discharge, transitioning veterans back into the community directly from the SUBSTANCE ABUSE, VOCATIONAL, PTSD, REHABILITATION AND OUTPATIENT FACILITIES. VIC has and will continue to partner and liaison with other Faith-based charities, human services, and grassroots groups such as Lifeline International, The Sanctuary of Dublin, Easter Seals of Middle Georgia, Goodwill of Middle Georgia, Community Mental Health of Middle Georgia, Middle Georgia Community Food Bank, The Community Hope Center, The National Coalition of Homeless Veterans, Caring Companions of Dublin, the Georgia Department of Labor, Georgia’s Veteran Services and The Department of Human Services as well as dedicated public officials and Congressional Representatives both State and Federal and private citizens-soldiers such as Master Gunnery Sergeant Debbie V. Alexander & family dedicating their home and property for our veterans, all are helping /renewing America’s communities everyday.
VIC’s intervention in homelessness here in Middle Georgia since May 2007 has helped produce a meaningful impact both on those served and the community as a whole. The VA’s most recent Chaleng Report of 2009 count sadly shows 418 HOMELESS VETERANS here in DUBLIN, GEORGIA but gladly down from 875(one is too many) from the VA’s 2008 Chaleng Report. VIC’s Supportive Housing Program has been found to meet not only the needs of homeless by reducing homelessness, criminal activity, and hospitalizations, but also to reduce overall costs.
VIC in the New Year has plans to acquire/renovate and sponsor 20 new VIC Houses throughout rural Georgia DEDICATED FOR THIS PURPOSE. FOXHOLES TO HOUSEHOLDS is VIC’s community initiative re-entry project designed and managed for veterans back into the community. The program’s sponsor VETERANS IN CHRIST provides immediate, safe and sane transitional housing, jobs, rehabilitation and human social services for our returning Veteran population here in Georgia.
We need your help. My promise to you is, any funds earmarked for use in Laurens County will be used for our veterans here in Laurens County. We are also looking for people with a passion to serve. We still believe that working together we can alleviate this man-made problem. May God bless you and this great nation we all love in this coming year.
In solidarity for all veterans

The Veterans Administration estimates that nearly 200,000 veterans are homeless on any given night. And nearly 400,000 experience homelessness over the course of a year. According to the National Survey of Homeless Assistance Providers and Clients, veterans account for 23% of all homeless people in America.

(Matthew 28:19)
• Discipleship is our training.

(1 John 1:7)
• Action--intentional and proactive--with a spirit of power,
of love, and of self-discipline, supports our faith.
(2 Timothy 1:7; James 2:20)

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you--Jesus Christ and the American G.I. One died for your soul--the other for your freedom!
